Smooth and mellows to raspberries and pears. I had doubted it because upon opening, it was very spirity, but it mellows to very beautiful notes of brown sugar, vanilla pod, banana, ginger, soft oak tannins, and a touch of pepper and lime. The finish is quite great, with bitter tannins, spirit banana, and very light cereal grains. Good quality and quite affordable.
